Seminar/workshop - Kaliakra Resort, near Kavarna, 24-26 octombrie 2008

Invitation

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to Kaliakria Resort, near the town of Kavarna, between October 24 – 26, 2008, to take part in the Seminar organized within the PHARE CBC Project RO2005/017-535.01.02.02 “Comparative studies regarding the biodiversity of coastal habitats, the anthropogenic impact and the possibilities for conservation and restoration of important European habitats between Cape Midia (Romania) and Cape Kaliakra (Bulgaria)”.

 

The project is implemented by “Ovidius” University Constanţa, Romania in partnership with the Environmental Protection Agency of Constanţa and the “Getia Pontica Association for Ecology and Sustainable Development”, Kavarna, Bulgaria.

 

Topics of the Seminar/Workshop:

  • “The current state of biodiversity on the Southern Romanian coast and the Northern Bulgarian coast”;
  • “Anthropological influences upon the coastal habitats, the rare species of plants and animals and the specific biodiversity in general”;
  • “The identification of possibilities for conservation and restoration of coastal habitats affected by human activities”;
  • “The efficiency of the legislation regarding the conservation of biodiversity and environmental protection in Bulgaria”;
  • “Possibilities for the dissemination of information regarding biodiversity and environmental protection”.

Seminar/workshop - Mamaia, Constanţa, 26-28 septembrie 2008

Invitaţie

Avem plăcerea de a vă invita în perioada 26-28 septembrie 2008 în staţiunea Mamaia (sala de Conferinţe a Hotelului Dacia Sud) pentru a participa la Seminarul/work-shop-ul proiectului PHARE CBC RO2005/017-535.01.02.02 intitulat Studii comparative privind biodiversitatea habitatelor costiere, a impactului antropic şi a posibilităţilor de conservare şi restaurare a habitatelor de interes comunitar dintre Capul Midia (România) şi Capul Kaliakra (Bulgaria), proiect implementat de Universitatea „Ovidius“ Constanţa, în parteneriat cu Agenţia pentru Protecţia Mediului Constanţa şi Asociaţia Ecologică şi de Dezvoltare Durabilă „Getia Pontica“ din Kavarna (Bulgaria).

 

Tematica abordată în cadrul Seminarului/Work-shop-ului se referă la:

  • Situaţia actuală a biodiversităţii din zona costieră sudică a României şi cea nordică a Bulgariei;
  • Efectele impactului antropic asupra habitatelor costiere, a speciilor de plante şi animale rare şi în general asupra biodiversităţii specifice;
  • Identificarea posibilităţilor de conservare şi eventual restaurare a habitatelor afectate de activităţile antropice;
  • Discutarea într-un larg cadru instituţional a unei Strategii privind conservarea biodiversităţii costiere a Dobrogei;

Participanţii care doresc să susţină lucrări ştiinţifice pe tematica proiectului sunt rugaţi să trimită titlul lucrării (în lb. Română şi lb. Engleză) până pe data de 15 septembrie, pentru a fi inclus în programul manifestării. Lucrările ştiinţifice prezentate vor fi publicate până la sfârşitul anului 2008 într-o revistă acreditată CNCSIS.

15:00 Technical discussions between the members of the project team regarding the implementation of the project activities and large dissemination of the project results both in Romania and Bulgaria.

The Agenda of these discussions will include the following aspects

  • The development of a durable partnership with the purpose of realizing collaborative actions of research and monitoring of the coastal biodiversity between Cape Midia (Romania) and Cape Kaliakra (Bulgaria);
  • The scheduling and preparation of the field studies in the Romanian and Bulgarian coastal area;
  • Bibliographical data collection about habitats, flora and fauna of the Romanian and Bulgarian Black Sea coastal area between Cape Midia and Vama Veche.
  • The setting up of the project website and of the Information Centre regarding the Dobrogea coastal biodiversity;
  • The preparation of the Forums in Constanta and Kavarna (2008);
  • The elaboration of a Strategy regarding the conservation of coastal biodiversity in the Romanian and Bulgarian coastal area of Dobrogea, as a result of the field researches;
  • Other aspects of our collaboration and next possible joint Phare CBC applications;
  • Some financial aspects of the Grant;
